On July 2, 2006, LCMS pastors from the Burt area joined the memers of St. John's to install their new pastor, Jason Peterson and welcome him and his wife Sarah. Pastor Friedrich and Pastor Turner of Trinity Lutheran, Algona led the service and preached the sermon. A reception for those in attendance followed the installation service.
