Congregational Partnership Meeting - Special Voter's Meeting
Both Church's in separate voters meetings have approved to begin the process of searching for a new Senior Pastor. The Partnership board will begin the process of taking names of Pastors from both congregation to turn into the District President to be added to the list of candidates to evaluate for the Senior Pastors position.
During the vacancy Elders from both congregations had a meeting to discuss the need to get help for Pastor Nelson. Both congregations agreed to hire Pastor Dave Simonson of Spirit Lake as the Vacancy Senior Pastor. Pastor Simonson will be our Vacancy Pastor till a new Senior Pastor is hired by the Partnership.
Partnership Sr. Pastor Call Update
- Congregational Partnership Voter's Meeting is scheduled for October 22 at 2 p.m. in the Life Center at Trinity. We will be voting on the Call Committee’s recommendation to call a Partnership Senior Pastor.
- The self-evaluation documents of each of the 13 Pastors in which they describe their ministry style as well as their preferences regarding various church practices and traditions are available in the church office. You are welcome to read these documents for yourself in the church office.
- These documents cannot be copied or leave the church office.
Agreement Information
For the sake of the mission of the Church and the continued ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our respective communities, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Burt, Iowa and Trinity Lutheran Church of Algona, Iowa have agreed to enter into a Ministry Partnership arrangement.
